Celebrity Silhouette Starts Season in Iceland

Celebrity Silhouette

The Celebrity Silhouette recently arrived in Reykjavik to kick off a series of regular itineraries around Iceland.

After completing a spring season in Bermuda, the Celebrity Cruises vessel embarked on a repositioning voyage to the region in late June.

The 13-night itinerary sailed from Cape Liberty to Reykjavik, visiting destinations in Canada, Greenland and Iceland, such as Halifax, Sydney, St. John’s, Qaqortoq, Akureyri and Isafjord.

The Celebrity Silhouette is now offering a series of seven-night cruises from Reykjavik that extends through late August.

As part of the company’s “Iceland Intensive” itinerary, the 2014-built vessel will circumnavigate the island, visiting Seydisfjordur, Isafjord and Akureyri.

The Solstice-class ship is part of Celebrity’s eight-ship lineup in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe for the summer.

Having entered service in the Caribbean in late 2025, the new Celebrity Xcel is one of the highlights of the deployment.

As the newest and largest ship in the company’s fleet, the vessel is currently offering a series of seven- to 11-night cruises departing from ports in Spain and Greece.

Four additional ships are sailing in the Mediterranean, including the Celebrity Ascent, the Celebrity Equinox, the Celebrity Constellation and the Celebrity Infinity.

Celebrity’s deployment also includes itineraries to Northern Europe, with the Celebrity Eclipse and the Celebrity Apex sailing to destinations in Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland, the Baltic and more.

The season in the region runs through late November, when ships are scheduled to reposition to the Caribbean, the Canary Islands and Canada & New England.

After completing its summer schedule in Iceland, the Silhouette is set to offer a 14-night voyage to Boston.

The ship will then offer fall foliage itineraries from Boston to Maine and Canada before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale for the winter.

Sailing roundtrip from Port Everglades, the vessel will offer six- and eight-night itineraries to a range of destinations in the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
