AIDA Cruises is adding winter cruises from Kiel aboard the AIDAperla to its the 2027–28 winter season.  

Instead of a winter season in the Middle East, which was recently canceled, the ship will sail itineraries to Baltic and Nordic cities, along the Norwegian coast and a “Great Winter Break Canary Islands” trip from November 2027 to May 2028. 

The new winter cruises lasting from three to 11 nights can also be combined into longer options, AIDA said in a press release.

The AIDAperla will start the winter season from Kiel on November 13, 2027, setting course for Northern European destinations, including Copenhagen, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm, among others.

Over Christmas holidays 2027, the ship will sail to Copenhagen, Kristiansand and Aarhus from December 23, 2027, before the New Year’s Eve cruise to Scandinavia, which will entail celebrating New Year’s in Oslo.

In February and March 2028, the focus will be on travel along the Norwegian and Baltic coasts, with guests will be able to see Hardangerfjord, the second longest fjord in Norway in March, paired with calls at Eidfjord.

The ship will also moor in the port of Oslo for several days on two voyages, enabling winter sports fans to enjoy the Biathlon World Cup finals March 14-19, 2028, at Holmenkollen.

After winter destinations, the AIDAperla will set sail from Kiel for the 24-day “Great Winter Break Canary Islands” in January 2028, connecting the Canary Islands with other destinations along the Atlantic coast of Europe.

The program includes stops on Madeira, in Lisbon and in ports in northern Spain. The trip can also be booked as a section from Kiel to Tenerife or back to Kiel from January 20, 2028.

The winter program from Germany will be supplemented by the AIDAnova, which will sail seven-day voyages to southern Norway and cities on the European west coast from Hamburg.
