Royal Caribbean International recently cancelled a cruise onboard the Allure of the Seas that was scheduled to depart on March 7, 2027.

According to a statement sent to booked guests, the sailing will no longer go ahead due to a full-ship charter.

“We understand that this is not an ideal situation, and we’re truly sorry for the impact it has on your vacation plans,” Royal Caribbean explained.

Sailing from PortMiami, the Allure was scheduled to offer a seven-night cruise to destinations in Jamaica and the Bahamas.

In addition to Nassau and Falmouth, the itinerary included a visit to Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

“The time and effort you took to plan your cruise is important to us, so we’ve put together some alternative options that we hope will work for you and those in your party,” the company said in its statement.

Passengers were offered a chance to move their reservations to a similar sailing onboard the Allure of the Seas, which is scheduled to depart on March 21, 2027.

The seven-night itinerary sails roundtrip from Miami and also includes visits to Nassau, Falmouth and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Royal Caribbean stated that passengers’ original stateroom category prices were either protected at their original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever was lower).

The company also said that, to sweeten the offer, it would provide an onboard credit for the new sailing, with interior, ocean view and balcony staterooms receiving a $100 credit and suites receiving a $200 credit. An additional $50 USD would also be offered for each third or subsequent guest.

Passengers also had non-refundable, pre-purchased transportation change fees covered by the company, with reimbursements of up to $200 USD per person for domestic changes, or up to $400 USD per guest for international changes.

Royal Caribbean also waived any non-refundable deposit change fee for guests who opted to rebook any other sailing with the company.

The statement noted that these passengers were responsible for any difference in pricing, adding that similar reimbursements for non-refundable transportation change fees were also being offered.

Passengers were also allowed to cancel their reservation with no penalties, receiving a full refund of any paid portion of their cruise fares and any pre-paid amenities.

As the second ship in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class series, the Allure of the Seas entered service in 2010 before undergoing a major refurbishment in late 2025.
