Norwegian Prima Spending First Summer in the Caribbean

Norwegian Prima

The Norwegian Prima is currently sailing from Port Canaveral for its first summer season in the Caribbean.

Sailing from Central Florida, the vessel is offering a series of weeklong cruises to various destinations in the region.

Alternating between itineraries to the Western and Eastern Caribbean, the 143,500-ton vessel is also visiting Norwegian’s private island destination of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.

As part of its seven-night itineraries to the Western Caribbean, the Norwegian Prima is scheduled to sail to Cozumel in Mexico, George Town in the Cayman Islands and Falmouth in Jamaica.

The vessel’s seven-night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean sail to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, as well as Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Before concluding its season in the region, the vessel is also scheduled to offer a short cruise to the Bahamas in late November. In addition to Great Stirrup Cay, the three-night itinerary features a visit to Nassau and a full day of cruising.

As the first ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima class, the Norwegian Prima entered service in August 2022.

After spending its inaugural season in Northern Europe that year, the 3,215-passenger vessel returned to the region in the summers of 2023, 2024 and 2025.

In 2025, the Prima offered a series of 10- and 11-night cruises to Scandinavia, Iceland and the British Isles, sailing from Southampton and Reykjavik.

Following its summer season sailing from Port Canaveral, the ship is scheduled to reposition to Puerto Rico for the 2026-27 winter.

The vessel will offer a series of seven-night itineraries to destinations in the Southern Caribbean between mid-November and late March.

In 2027, the ship returns to Europe for summer cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, visiting the Adriatic, the Baltic, the North Sea and more.
