The MSC Meraviglia returned to Europe in May after spending nearly four years sailing exclusively in the Caribbean and North America.
For its first season in the region since 2022, the 2017-built vessel is offering a series of weeklong cruises to the Western Mediterranean.
The ship’s regular itinerary features visits to destinations in Spain, France, Italy and Tunisia, including Barcelona, Marseille, Livorno, Naples, Palermo and Tunis.
With the exception of the latter, passengers are able to board the 167,600-ton vessel at all of the ports of call.
The seven-night cruise will be offered through mid-October, when the ship is scheduled to offer a trans-Atlantic cruise to the United States.
The MSC Meraviglia is then set to return to PortMiami for cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas during the 2026-27 winter season.
Sailing from South Florida along with the MSC World America, the MSC Seaside and the MSC Poesia, the vessel offers six- to eight-night itineraries to destinations in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
Most of the sailings also include a visit to MSC Cruises’ private island destination in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
Before arriving in Europe in May, the MSC Meraviglia spent three years sailing from New York City on a year-round basis.
As part of MSC’s first full deployment out of New York, the vessel offered a series of cruises from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal between April 2023 and April 2026.
As part of its schedule in the region, the ship operated itineraries to the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Canada and New England.
Before repositioning to New York City, the Meraviglia spent the 2022-23 winter season sailing from Port Canaveral.
As the original ship in MSC’s Meraviglia class, the vessel was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique Shipyard and entered service in early 2017.
