Carnival Legend Arrives in Europe for Summer Season

Carnival Legend

The Carnival Legend arrived in Europe earlier this month to operate Carnival Cruise Line’s summer season in the region.

Concluding a trans-Atlantic crossing that started in Miami in late May, the Spirit-class vessel docked at its new homeport of Dover on June 7, 2026.

The ship is now offering a series of nine- to 12-night itineraries to Northern Europe that visit destinations in Scandinavia, the British Isles and the Baltic.

Later this month, the Carnival Legend is also scheduled to offer a special cruise to Iceland that features visits to Grundarfjordur, Reykjavik, Akureyri and Djupivogur, in addition to other destinations in Great Britain and Ireland.

Other highlights of the vessel’s deployment include an 11-night cruise to Western Europe that will position guests in the best spot to witness a total solar eclipse.

Sailing to Portugal, Spain, Belgium and France, the itinerary features visits to Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Le Verdon, Vigo, Porto, Lisbon and Guernsey.

In mid-September, the Carnival Legend is scheduled to arrive at the Italian port of Civitavecchia for a fall season in the Mediterranean.

Extending through November, the deployment in the region features nine- and 12-night itineraries to ports in Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia and Turkey.

The European season ends with a trans-Atlantic crossing to Tampa, which will be followed by a series of cruises to the Western Caribbean.

The Carnival Legend also underwent a refurbishment earlier this year, entering drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport.

As part of the project, the vessel became the first to introduce Carnival’s new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest.

Set to be gradually rolled out to all of the company’s ships sailing from U.S. ports, the new feature was inspired by “America the Beautiful” and celebrates the country’s 250th anniversary.
