Carnival Legend Resumes Service with New Bow Crest

Carnival Legend in Drydock

The Carnival Legend recently welcomed guests back onboard following a 16-day drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard.

Set to cruise in Europe during the upcoming summer season, the ship resumed revenue service in Miami on May 20, 2026.

For its first post-drydock sailing, the Spirit-class vessel is offering a four-night cruise to the Bahamas from South Florida.

In addition to Nassau, the itinerary features a visit to the private island destination of RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay.

Upon returning to Miami, the Carnival Legend is scheduled to embark on a trans-Atlantic crossing to the British port of Dover.

The 14-night repositioning voyage will be followed by a series of itineraries in Northern Europe, the British Isles, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean.

In addition to undergoing technical maintenance, the vessel also introduced a new patriotic bow crest during its drydock.

According to a press release, the new feature reinforces the company’s relationship with the U.S. market and was inspired by “America the Beautiful.”

The “From Sea to Shining Sea” crest will be gradually rolled out to all of Carnival’s ships sailing from ports in the United States, with the exception of the Carnival Jubilee and the Carnival Tropicale.

Designed for cruising out of Galveston, the two Excel-class vessels display the Texas star on their bows.

The next ship to debut the new look will be the Carnival Magic, which is currently undergoing a drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the ship arrived at the facility in late April and is scheduled to resume service on May 26, 2026.

After initially offering a short cruise, the Dream-class vessel is set to resume its regular schedule of six- and eight-night cruises to the Southern and Eastern Caribbean on May 30, 2026.
