Disney Dream Has Arrived in Europe for Summer Season

Disney Dream

The Disney Dream recently crossed the Atlantic for a summer season in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Returning to the region after a two-year hiatus, the Disney Cruise Line vessel arrived in Spain in early May.

The ship’s summer schedule initially includes a series of cruises in Southern Europe, with itineraries departing from Barcelona and Civitavecchia.

Sailing to both the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, the ship’s seven- to 12-night cruises are highlighted by visits to destinations in Italy and Greece, including Cagliari, Messina, Santorini and Piraeus.

The Disney Dream is also scheduled to visit ports in Croatia, Malta and France before repositioning to Northern Europe in late July.

After arriving in Southampton, the 2,500-passenger ship offers itineraries to Scandinavia, the British Isles and the North Sea.

The deployment features cruises to the Norwegian fjords, including a seven-night sailing in early August that is set to visit Haugesund, Olden, Alesund, and Stavanger.

The vessel’s cruise program also features a series of short cruises to ports in Western Europe, including Zeebrugge in Belgium and La Coruña in Spain.

In mid-September, the ship is scheduled to embark on a 13-night repositioning voyage back to Fort Lauderdale.

The trans-Atlantic crossing features visits to destinations in Portugal and Spain before arriving in Port Everglades, including Vigo, Lisbon and Funchal.

As reported by Cruise Industry News, the Disney Dream recently completed its 15th year of service for Disney Cruise Line.

Built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the vessel debuted in 2011 as the first Disney newbuild in nearly 15 years.

With the Disney Fantasy taking over the company’s itineraries in the region in 2025, the Dream last sailed in Europe in 2024.

The ship will sail in the Caribbean year-round in 2027, as the Disney Wish makes its debut in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
