The Disney Adventure is back in service after facing a technical issue that led to the cancellation of one cruise.
Resuming its regular schedule, the 2025-built ship sailed from Singapore on May 11, 2026, kicking off a three-night cruise in Southeast Asia.
The itinerary includes two days of sailing in the South China Sea before returning to Marina Bay in Singapore.
Disney Cruise Line took the 6,000-passenger ship out of service due to technical issues on May 8, 2026, cancelling a four-night cruise to nowhere.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the decision was announced after guests had already spent one night onboard the vessel, which was originally set to depart from Singapore on May 7, 2026.
At the time, the company offered a full refund for affected passengers, in addition to 50 percent off a future Disney cruise.
Disney also arranged complimentary one-night stays at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach and other similar hotels in the region.
Other compensation included up to $500 per stateroom for other incidentals, as well as the reimbursement of any potential associated flight change fees.
As the largest ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, the Adventure entered service in mid-March 2026, kicking off a series of cruises from Singapore.
Marking the first time the company operates in Asia, the itineraries are offered on a year-round basis and do not include any ports of call.
The 208,000-ton vessel was ordered for Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises brand, which went bankrupt during construction.
Disney acquired the ship in late 2022, making significant changes to the vessel’s design and features in partnership with the Meyer Werft shipyard.
According to the company, the Adventure was designed to be “both a journey and a destination” with seven themed areas that offer features like a roller coaster and an open-air performance venue
