Royal Caribbean International’s Icon-class debuted in 2024 with the Icon of the Seas, which was followed by the Star of the Seas in 2025.

The Legend of the Seas debuts this summer as it launches service in the Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean.

The fourth Icon-class vessel, Hero of the Seas, is slated for delivery in 2027, followed by Icon 5 in 2028. Icons 6 and 7, now confirmed, round out the orderbook through 2030.

The latter two of which, Icon 6 and 7, were confirmed earlier this week.

In addition are another Oasis-class ship under construction at Chantiers for delivery in 2028, as well as two new Discovery class ships for 2029 and 2032.

At the same time, Royal Caribbean Group has a long-term framework agreement with Meyer Turku through 2036, and it would appear the company has a plan to deliver one Icon-class ship a year until further notice.

Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty has framed the partnership as a long-term platform for innovation, saying the company, in a previous statement, is “excited to continue collaborating with Meyer Turku to grow the Icon Class” and “position us to usher in a new era of innovation that will disrupt the vacation sector through 2036.”

If the current trajectory continues, that would mean there would be 13 Icon-class ships by 2036, totaling over 72,000 berths.
