Virgin to Move NY Operations to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

  • March 10, 2026
Valiant Lady

Virgin Voyages cruises departing from New York City will sail from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal starting on April 6, 2026.

In a statement sent to booked guests, the company said that the change is valid for all of its scheduled sailings from the port.

Operating seasonally from New York City, Virgin has previously sailed from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.

In 2026, the company is deploying the Valiant Lady in New York City for spring sailings that are set to take place between early and late April.

The 2,770-guest ship is then set to return to the Big Apple in late September for a fall season that runs through late October.

Virgin offers five-to 12-night cruises to destinations in Bermuda and the Caribbean, as well as a fall foliage cruise to Canada and New England.

One of the highlights of the company’s lineup in the region, the special itinerary sails from New York City in late September and features visits to Boston, Portland, Saint John and Halifax.

The Valiant Lady will also offer a trans-Atlantic crossing to Portugal, Spain and Morocco departing from Brooklyn in late April.

The 14-night itinerary features visits to Funchal, Málaga, Tangier and Palma de Mallorca before ending in Barcelona. The ship is also scheduled to make a stop in Ponta Delgada, in Portugal’s Azores Archipelago.

In related news, MSC Cruises will stop sailing from New York City, with the MSC Meraviglia bidding farewell to the homeport in April.

Sailing from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, the 2017-built vessel offers a series of week-long cruises to the Bahamas and Florida.

In the past, the ship also offered longer itineraries to Canada, New England and the Caribbean, in addition to Bermuda.

Other cruise lines sailing from New York City on a regular basis include Carnival, Norwegian and Cunard.

Royal Caribbean Group brands offer itineraries departing from the Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in Bayonne.
