Seabourn Takes Alaska Deeper with New Denali Land Package

Seabourn Encore

Seabourn has presented an optional pre-cruise land journey designed to extend guests’ exploration of Alaska in 2027 and 2028 called “The Denali Experience.”

Designed to complement seven-day Inside Passage voyages, the land package pairs sightseeing with inland encounters that reveal Alaska beyond the coastline, the company said in a press release.

It is an eight-day, seven-night land program taking guests into the heart of Denali National Park and Preserve, offering hat the company says are enhanced access and immersive experiences.

“We are thrilled to offer The Denali Experience as an extension of our Alaska voyages,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn.

“This Seabourn Journey allows guests to explore Alaska’s interior in a deeper and more meaningful way, combining immersive, destination-focused experiences with the intuitive and personalized service they expect from Seabourn. It is a natural complement to the voyage and offers another way to experience the extraordinary landscapes of The Great Land.”

Scheduled to depart from Anchorage before select Seabourn Alaska voyages in 2027 and 2028, the Denali Experience starts with a scenic rail journey into the state’s interior.

Guests get ample time ashore and are guided by local experts and tour leaders, exploring at a relaxed pace, according to the press release.

Highlights include:

  • “Flightseeing” over glaciers and wilderness across more than 6 million acres of Denali National Park & Preserve.
  • A wildlife encounter at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, with native species such as lynx, moose, brown bears and wood bison against the backdrop of the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm Inlet.
  • A farewell dinner at the Tracy’s King Crab Shack overlooking the downtown waterfront of Alaska’s capital, Juneau.

The Inside Passage sailings will be operated by the Seabourn Encore, which is starting its first Alaska season this May.
