MSC Cruises announced today that it is cancelling its planned 2026-27 season in the Middle East onboard the MSC World Europa.
According to a press release, the decision is part of a revised deployment for 2026-27 that will strengthen its presence in the Caribbean.
Replacing the MSC Seaview, the MSC World Europa will make its debut in the region, offering itineraries from the French Antilles.
The LNG-powered vessel will operate a series of seven- to 14-night cruises departing from Martinique and Guadeloupe to destinations in Saint Lucia, Grenada, St. Maarten, Antigua, Dominica and more.
MSC said that the adjustment offers guests “a perfect winter-sun experience in one of the world’s most desirable warm-weather destinations.”
With the changes, the MSC Seaview will be redeployed to South America, becoming the company’s fifth ship in the region.
MSC stated that the ship’s new schedule, which will include itineraries to Brazil and Argentina, will be revealed soon.
The company also noted that the initiative reinforces its “commitment to offer diverse choices across its global portfolio.”
Guests booked on MSC World Europa’s cancelled sailings in the Middle East and their travel partners are being contacted directly and provided with information regarding their options, including the possibility to move their booking to another sailing or request a full refund.
Sailing from the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, the MSC World Europa was scheduled to sail in the Arabian Gulf between November 2026 and March 2027.
Guests booked on MSC Seaview sailings from the French Antilles will see no change to their itinerary and dates, with no action required from guests.
MSC said that it now plans to return to the Arabian Gulf during the 2027-28 winter season, with itineraries to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas, Bahrain and Doha.
