The World Voyager recently completed five years of service for Mystic Cruises after being delivered by the West Sea Shipyard on November 3, 2020.

As the second ship in a series that started with the World Explorer in 2019, the 200-guest vessel was initially operated by Nicko . Delivered during pandemic, it spent several months in layup before debuting for Mystic’s German brand on April 10, 2021.

For its maiden voyage, the World Voyager embarked on a ten-night cruise to the Canary Islands that departed from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The itinerary also featured visits to El Hierro, La Gomera, Puerto del Rosario, Arrecife, San Sebastián and Las Palmas.

In addition to the Canary Islands, the World Voyager sailed for Nicko in other regions, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Arctic and the Caribbean.

After roughly two years serving the German market, the World Voyager was transferred to Mystic’s U.S. brand, Atlas Ocean Voyages.

Joining two sister ships, the World Navigator and the World Traveller, the 10,000-ton vessel moved to the company’s fleet in September 2023.

Retaining its original name, the ship kicked off a series of expedition cruises to polar areas, including the Antarctic Peninsula and the Arctic.

Starting in 2026, the World Voyager will operate for Atlas Ocean during summer months before being chartered out during winter months.

As part of a charter agreement valid for three seasons, the vessel will replace the World Explorer in Quark’s fleet, offering expeditions in Antarctica.

The ship will also offer the company’s Science & Discovery Program, which provides guests the opportunity to engage directly with scientists and researchers.

In addition to the World Voyager, Mystic’s Explorer series includes the 2019-built World Explorer, the 2021-built World Navigator, the 2022-built World Traveller and the 2025-built Star Seeker.

All the vessels were built by the West Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
