The latest update of Cruise Industry News’ global cruise ship orderbook shows that 14 new vessels are set to enter service in 2026.
According to CIN’s independent research, the new ships will add over 33,000 berths to the industry’s fleet for a cost of approximately $11 billion.
From the next largest cruise ship in the world to a small expedition vessel, the new ships will have an average capacity of 2,365 guests.

The lineup includes new ships from a wide range of companies, including luxury brands such as Four Seasons Yachts.
Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the upscale yacht is set to be delivered in the first quarter.
Orient Express is also introducing its first cruise ship in 2026 with the Orient Express Corinthian, a sailing yacht designed in partnership with Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
Other luxury brands welcoming new ships include Emerald Cruises, Viking, Explora Journeys and Regent Seven Seas.
Royal Caribbean is also introducing the next largest cruise ship in the world in 2026, the Legend of the Seas.
Sharing the title with its Icon-class sister ships, the 250,800-ton vessel will be delivered by Meyer Turku for a spring/summer inaugural season in the Mediterranean.
The class of 2026 is highlighted by the Magellan Discoverer, the only expedition cruise ship set to enter service next year. Being built for Antarctica21 in Chile, the 100-guest vessel is set to enter service ahead of the 2026-27 season in Antarctica.
Other large ships entering service in 2026 include the Disney Adventure, the Norwegian Aqua, the MSC World Asia and TUI’s Mein Schiff Flow.
As of early December 2025, the global cruise ship orderbook includes 72 ships with deliveries through 2036. Valued at over $70 billion, the vessels will add nearly 200,000 berths to the industry.
