Two additional MSC Cruises’ ships are now sailing to Europe after concluding their winter seasons in South America.

Following the MSC Orchestra, which kicked off its repositioning cruise in March, the MSC Splendida and the MSC Armonia started their trans-Atlantic crossings in late March.

Initially set to sail in China during the 2024-25 winter, the MSC Splendida spent the last few months offering seven-night itineraries to destinations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

After concluding a last cruise in South America on Mar. 28, 2025, the 2009-built vessel embarked on a trans-Atlantic crossing in Santos.

The 20-night itinerary is set to end in Genoa and includes visits to ports of call in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

The cruise is highlighted by destinations in the Canary Islands and Madeira, such as Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Puerto del Rosario and Arrecife de Lanzarote.

Upon arriving in Europe, the MSC Splendida kicks off a summer deployment in the Western Mediterranean.

The ship’s regular itinerary sails to six ports in Spain, Italy and France: Valencia, Tarragona, Civitavecchia, Livorno, Genoa and Marseille.

Offering a slightly modified itinerary, the 3,300-guest ship will continue to sail in the region during the 2025-26 winter season.

After offering a series of three- to seven-night cruises in South America during the 2024-25 winter season, the MSC Armonia is also kicked off a repositioning voyage to Europe on Mar. 28, 2025.

Unlike the Splendida, the 2001-built ship is sailing to the Italian port of Marghera with only crew members onboard.

The vessel is set to arrive at its summer homeport in mid-April to embark on a series of three- to seven-night cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Adriatic.

Sailing to Italy, Croatia and Greece, the ship’s itineraries visit ports including Split, Brindisi, Mykonos and Piraeus.

The MSC Armonia is set to return to South America in November ahead of a winter season offering three- to eight-night cruises departing from Rio de Janeiro.
