cruisePAL has officially launched its shipboard Ship Management System/Point of Sale (SMS/POS) platform on the Scenic Azure and Emerald Radiance, the Portuguese river cruise ships operated by Scenic Cruises, the company announced in a press release.

The implementation took place in Porto, with cruisePAL’s team working closely with Scenic’s onboard staff both remotely and in person to ensure a smooth deployment.

Sepp Dendl, vice president of river operations, said: “You know that I am always the first one who will complain about anything if not done properly and to keep deadlines with me is always a problem! Therefore, I would like to say thank you to all of you, but of course especially to the team supporting us in Portugal… I think Portugal was just perfect. One more time, a big thank you from the Scenic team!”

The rollout was supported by Cristian Pintican, corporate onboard hotel controller and system support.

This deployment is part of cruisePAL’s broader expansion, with the system recently implemented on 18 additional vessels across both river and ocean fleets.
