Phoenix Reisen announced in a statement that on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the Aurelia was christened in Bonn.

The christening ceremony for the river ship was held in a small setting, and Pastor Raimund Blanke blessed the ship.

Bianca Rödig, daughter of sea chef co-owner Helmut Rödig, was named the ship’s godmother.

The MS Aurelia, built by Phoenix’s long-standing partner Rijfers Nautical Management, is the sister ship of the MS Amina.

According to the statement, the MS Aurelia features modern shapes and colors, ample space and cabins with French balconies on two decks.

The newly built ship will be sailing on the Rhine and Danube in 2025, and there is remaining capacity for the second half of the year.
