Mitsui Ocean Cruises has revealed 18 new cruises onboard the Mitsui Ocean Fuji from April 2025 to May 2026. The new sailings are now open for sale in North America at the company’s dedicated website, which is available here.

According to a press release, the new sailings offer an experience that blends Japan’s maritime heritage, culture, and natural beauty into a luxurious cruise.

Mitsui Ocean Fuji’s new deployment features popular festivals and fireworks, in addition to sailings that allow guests to witness Japan’s cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage.

The itineraries also feature off-the-beaten-path destinations, as well as deep cultural experiences, the company added.

“The Mitsui Ocean Fuji offers something truly one-of-a-kind – an atmosphere where Japanese and international guests come together in a shared cultural experience,” said Mitsui’s Head of Commercial Strategies, Anthony Kaufman.

“We invite you to be our honored guest in our home at sea, to sail with us on an elegant, intimate voyage where you’ll naturally absorb the essence of Japan, not through a scripted performance but by simply living it,” he added.

Mitsui stated that it offers convenient departure ports to fly into, including Tokyo and Yokohama, in addition to spring and summer cruises.

A special Christmas celebration voyage is also available for North American passengers in late 2025.

According to the company, the “genuine Japanese leisure travel experience” offered onboard was, until now, a “local secret.”

“International and local Japanese guests sail together in harmony onboard the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, living the country in a way that only a true Japanese cruise line can provide,” Mitsui added.

Formerly in service as the Seabourn Odyssey, the Mitsui Ocean Fuji entered service for Mitsui Ocean Cruises in December 2024.

The vessel is set to be soon joined by one of its sister ships, the Seabourn Sojourn, which was bought by the Japan-based company earlier this month
