The Mitsui Ocean Fuji, the newest ship from Mitsui Ocean Cruises, has arrived in Yokohama to commence its inaugural season.

The 458-guest vessel offers a range of five- to 66-day cruises departing from Yokohama, Tokyo, and other Japanese ports. These itineraries highlight Japan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The official naming ceremony for Mitsui Ocean Fuji will take place on December 7 in Tokyo Bay, conducted by Senko Ikenobo, the headmaster designate of Ikenobo ikebana. The ship’s sister vessel, the Nippon Maru, will also be present to welcome it to the fleet.

 The inaugural season of the Mitsui Ocean Fuji is now open for booking, featuring a range of debut cruises, including a special New Year’s sailing, Spring and Golden Week cruises and a 66-day Grand Asia Cruise.

The debut Winter cruises include itineraries from December 1 to January 8, 2025, with various destinations such as Beppu, Busan, Shimonoseki, Shingu, Kochi, Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The Spring cruises offer two distinct eight-day itineraries: one from April 10-17, 2025, visiting Yeosu, Nagasaki, and Ibusuki, and another from April 17-24, 2025, calling at Jeju, Hakata, and Sukumo.

• Golden Week round-the-Japan cruise with Busan: April 24-May 5, 2025 (12 days): Yokohama – Ofunato – Hakodate – Aomori – Miyazu – Hamada – Busan – Yokohama.
• Spring cruise with UNESCO World Heritage sites: May 5-13, 2025 (nine days): Yokohama – Hofu – Sasebo – Yeosu – Shimonoseki – Toba – Yokohama.
• Grand Asia cruise 2025: May 13-July 17, 2025 (66 days): Yokohama – Kobe – Ishigaki – Hong Kong (overnight) – Ha Long Bay – Danang – Ho Chi Minh (overnight) – Sihanoukville – Laem Chabang (overnight) – Samui – Singapore (overnight) – Melaka – Penang – Langkawi – Phuket – Port Klang – Benoa – Komodo – Darwin (overnight) – Makassar – Kuching – Kota Kinabalu – Kaohsiung – Keelung – Naha – Yokohama.
