The Majestic Princess recently arrived at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Palermo, Italy, for a scheduled drydock.

Returning to Europe after an eight-year hiatus, the vessel arrived at the facility on Mar. 11, 2025.

The Majestic Princess is now set to undergo routine maintenance, in addition to class inspections and technical work.

Before welcoming guests back in early April, the 3,600-guest ship is also expected to undergo minor updates to its public rooms, cabins and suites.

Originally built for the Chinese market, the vessel entered service for Princess Cruises in 2017.

After completing a winter schedule in South America and the Caribbean, the Majestic Princess arrived in Europe in early March.

The 141,000-ton vessel then offered a seven-night cruise in the Western Mediterranean before entering drydock.

Upon resuming service on Apr. 1, the ship kicks off a summer program in the region.

The deployment includes a series of seven- to 33-night cruises that sail to both the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

Among the itineraries is Princess’ “Grand Mediterranean” cruise, which sails to destinations in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Spain.

The ten-night cruise is highlighted by ports of call that include Naples, Palermo, Chania, Piraeus, Kusadasi and Palma de Mallorca.

After offering itineraries that also sail to the Adriatic, visiting destinations in Croatia, Montenegro and more, the ship is scheduled to reposition to Northern Europe in July.

A few weeks later, in early August, the vessel is set to arrive in North America for a fall foliage season in Canada and New England.

Marking Majestic’s debut in the region, the schedule includes seven- to 10-night cruises departing from Boston and Quebec City.

Ports of call set to be visited include Charlottetown, Saguenay, Halifax and Portland.

The ship is then set to return to the Caribbean during the 2025-26 winter for cruises departing from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades.
