Fincantieri Reports Profitable Operations for 2024

Fincantieri has reported net income of 27 million euros on revenues of 8.2 billion euros for the year ended Dec. 31, 2024, compared to a net loss of 53 million euros on revenues of 7.7 billion euros for the previous year.

The return to profit was ahead its business plan forecast, according to Fincantieri.

The orderbook stands at 51.2 billion euros with 20 ships delivered in 2024 and 98 ships slated to be delivered between 2025 and 2036.

2024 deliveries included the Sun Princess, Queen Anne, Brilliant Lady, Explora II and Viking Vela.

Mein Schiff Relax and Aqua have already been delivered this year, to be followed by the Allura, Viking Vesta, Four Seasons 1 and Sun Princess.

Another 22 cruise ships are on Fincantieri’s orderbook for deliveries in the period 2026-2036.

Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and general manager, commented that 2024 was a remarkable year for Fincantieri, in which it began to reap the first results of its strategy and industrial vision.

“In addition to seizing opportunities tin the cruise and offshore markets, we intensified our efforts in the international defense market and consolidated our expansion in the underwater domain,” Folgiero said in a prepared statement.
