Azamara Cruises has introduced new shore excursions for its Greenland sailings beginning in July 2025.
Developed in collaboration with local communities, the new experiences highlight Greenland’s landscapes, history and cuisine, offering guests a deeper connection to the destination.
The shore excursions include:
- Qaqortoq Town Walk: A guided tour of one of Greenland’s most scenic towns, featuring historical sites like the old fountain and “Stone & Man” sculptures.
- UTV Mountain Tour: An off-road adventure in Nuuk, stopping at landmarks such as Annaassisitta Oqaluffia (the wooden church) and the Colonial Harbor, ending with traditional fish soup at Inuk Hostels Café.
- Food Tasting & Storytelling: A backcountry hike near Nuuk combined with seasonal Greenlandic foods, including Arctic char and mattak, accompanied by stories of local traditions.
- Sisimiut Viewpoint Hike: A trek through Sisimiut’s mountain landscape, with a visit to the historic hunter’s quarter and its duplex houses.

- Departing July 21, 2025: 15-night Greenland, Newfoundland and Quebec Voyage
- Departing August 5, 2025: 15-night Quebec, Greenland and Iceland Voyage
- Departing July 27, 2026: 30-night Path of the Vikings: Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland and Quebec Voyage
