Resorts World Announces Brand Transition to StarCruises and Dream Cruises

New Fleet

Resorts World Cruises has announced a brand transition, bringing back the StarCruises and Dream Cruises brands.

According to a press release, the transition, expected to take approximately three months, marks a return to the company’s original cruise identities after operating under the Resorts World Cruises brand since 2022.

As part of this shift, the Resorts World One will be renamed the Star Navigator and will join the Star Voyager under the StarCruises brand.

The Genting Dream will continue sailing under Dream Cruises.

The transition of Resorts World Cruises to StarCruises and Dream Cruises reflects a strategic repositioning to cater to distinct market segments with tailored cruise experiences.

StarCruises will focus on affordable cruising, offering mid-sized ships with a capacity of around 2,000 guests. Itineraries will feature short, port-intensive sailings designed for domestic and fly-cruise travelers. The Star Navigator will launch four-night sailings from Singapore to Krabi and Penang on March 7, 2025, before relocating to Taiwan on March 28 for an eight-month deployment with itineraries to Japan and South Korea. The Star Voyager will begin operations on March 26, 2025, from multiple seasonal homeports, including Singapore, Jakarta, Melaka, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, with additional cities to be announced.

Dream Cruises will focus on luxury cruising, offering spacious ships with over 3,000-passenger capacity, premium amenities and high-end experiences. The Genting Dream will remain homeported in Singapore year-round, offering itineraries to Malaysia and Thailand.

By distinguishing StarCruises and Dream Cruises, the brands aim to enhance their presence in the Asian cruise market with offerings tailored to different traveler preferences.
