Opening Voyages and Ship Details Revealed for Asuka III

Asuka III

Asuka Cruises has announced 17 opening cruises for the Asuka III, sailing from July 20 through October 21, 2025.

During its opening season, the Asuka III will take guests to explore 30 ports across Japan.

The inaugural “Maiden Voyage: Hakodate and Otaru” cruise is a seven-night itinerary that highlights two of Hokkaido’s ports, known for their charm and cuisine. Sailing roundtrip from Yokohama, the maiden voyage departs on July 20, 2025, and returns to the port on July 26.

Other inaugural sailings include Asuka III’s first-ever “Japan Circumnavigation Cruise” as well as an eight-day “Hakata Debut Cruise.”

Reservations open on April 3, 2025.

The company also revealed details about the ship’s accommodations, dining options and onboard services.

The Asuka III features a design that blends open spaces with traditional Japanese aesthetics. All staterooms include private balconies, with three categories: Penthouse, Suite and Balcony (Japanese-inspired design).

The ship showcases Japanese artists, including Hiroshi Senju’s fresco in the Gallery Café (Deck 6) and Reiji Hiramatsu’s paintings in the Noblesse Restaurant (Deck 6). Works by emerging artists are also featured.

The Asuka III offers six restaurants serving French, Italian and Japanese kaiseki cuisine, with flexible dining options.
