MSC Cruises aired its first Big Game TV commercial on Sunday, Feb. 9, showcasing its mix of European style and American comfort and featuring Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom.
The 60-second ad highlighted MSC World America, the cruise line’s newest ship, launching in Miami in April 2025.
The ship will sail weekly Caribbean itineraries from MSC Cruises’ new terminal starting April 12.
The commercial gave viewers a glimpse of the ship’s venues, attractions and experiences, inviting them to take a “holiday” aboard the MSC World America.
Highlights of MSC World America’s attractions include:
- All Stars Sports Bar: A venue with drinks, comfort food, and classic bar games like interactive darts, digital shuffleboard, and foosball, plus an ocean-view terrace.
- Eataly at Sea: The only Eataly restaurant at sea, featuring authentic Italian cuisine, including exclusive onboard dishes.
- Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve: MSC Cruises’ private Bahamian island with white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
- “Dirty Dancing in Concert”: A live film-to-concert experience of the classic movie, featuring singers, dancers and musicians.
- Cliffhanger: The only over-water swing ride at sea, suspended 50 meters above the ocean.
- MSC Yacht Club: A private “ship-within-a-ship” experience with exclusive dining, a private sundeck and 24-hour butler service.
- Jaw Drop @ The Spiral: An 11-deck slide that sends riders through the jaws of a shark.
- Sweet Temptations: A dessert shop with colorful décor and family-friendly activities.
