Expedia Cruises announced in a press release that the company saw significant growth in 2024, surpassing 260 locations and having been recognized in multiple awards throughout the year.

“I am very optimistic that the cruise industry will continue its impressive growth trajectory in 2025 and beyond,” said Matthew Eichhorst, president of Expedia Cruises.

“With an exceptional product offering across all segments, strong consumer demand and exciting investments in short itineraries, private islands and beach clubs in the Caribbean, we’re seeing incredible momentum. Our growing network of franchisees is well-positioned to meet this demand and deliver unforgettable vacation experiences,” added Eichhorst.

The 37-year brand said it opened 13 locations last year and plans to award an additional 15 in 2025 in regions including Florida, Texas, California, New York and Georgia.

Lisa and Shawn Yahrling opened a new location in Folsom, California. In addition, Garimirka and Ramon Chaparro introduced the brand in Bountiful, Utah, and Felix and Stephie Reinberg brought Expedia to Clermont, Florida.

According to the press release, the brand also saw existing franchisees invest in multi-unit growth for 2025.

Arrif and Shelina Meghji signed an agreement for Paradise Valley, Arizona, while Lorena Cagiano and Eric Dessureault are expanding into Mirabel, Québec. Ed Rosenberg and Jenny Eisenberg are also bringing the brand to Delaware.

Expedia said it is on track to meet its goal of opening 12 locations in 2025, with the following new franchisees set to launch:

  • Boise, Idaho, is slated to open by June, led by Mike and LesliAnn Hansen.
  • Heydee Mena will open her San Pablo, California location by September.
  • Manuel Bakerdijian and Aida Tutunciyan’s location in Florida is opening by September.
  • Hira Asnani is expected to open his Center in Newfields, New Hampshire by June.

In addition to its growth, Expedia was recognized by Travel Weekly’s 2024 Annual Magellan Awards and Franchise Business Review with several accolades.

The company also ranked on the 2024 Culture100 Awards and was named in Franchise Direct’s 2025 Top 100 Franchises list.
