Costa Adds Santo Domingo as Embarkation Port

On the scene in Santo Domingo

Costa Cruises held an event onboard the Costa Fascinosa while the ship was at La Romana, Dominican Republic, earlier this week to celebrate the introduction of Santo Domingo as a new embarkation option for the ship’s Caribbean itineraries in the 2025-26 season.

Hosted by Dario Rustico, general manager of North and South America for Costa Cruises, and Fernando Joselevich, Costa’s country manager for Argentina and Latin America, the event was attended by guests such as H.E. the Ambassador of Italy Stefano Queirolo Palmas (Ambassador of Italy to Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince); the Commercial Director of the Port of Cruises and Airport of La Romana Andres Fernandez; Executive Director of Sansouci Port Rudy Pimentel, Maritime Segment Director of the Ministry of Tourism Ana Vilchez, and the cruise line’s Latin American partners.

“We are excited to introduce the beautiful port of Santo Domingo as an embarkation option in the Caribbean with Costa Fascinosa, which will deliver a new, memorable experience for our guests. Thanks to this new opportunity to join a cruise from the port of their choice adds flexibility for Costa guests who will have more Caribbean options than ever,” said Dario Rustico, general manager of North and South America for Costa Cruises.

From December 2025 through March 2026, the Costa Fascinosa’s eight-day Caribbean itineraries that cruise roundtrip from Santo Domingo call at a combination of islands, including Barbados, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique. Most of the cruises include a call at Catalina Island, Costa’s private island.

In addition to Costa Fascinosa, Costa Pacifica island-hops throughout the Caribbean from December 2025 through March 2026, with embarkation options roundtrip from La Romana and Guadeloupe on a singular itinerary. The eight- to 16-day cruises call at a combination of ports throughout the Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
