Asuka III to Begin Ems River Conveyance

The Asuka III is set to depart from Papenburg on Sunday morning, March 2, 2025.

The ship will travel along the River Ems to the Dutch Port of Eemshaven, with its arrival scheduled for Monday evening or early Tuesday morning.

Following its arrival in Eemshaven, the Asuka III will undergo technical and nautical trials in the North Sea.

Following the trials, the ship will continue to Emden, where final outfitting and handover to Asuka Cruiseswill take place.

The conveyance schedule is subject to change based on weather and tidal conditions. The expected timeline is as follows:

Saturday, March 1, 2025

  • 10:00 pm: Ship in waiting position (Papenburg)

 

Sunday, March 2, 2025

  • 05:30 am: Passing the sea lock (Papenburg)
  • 09:00 am: Passing the Friesenbrücke bridge (Weener)
  • 10:40 am: Passing the Jann-Berghaus Bridge (Leer)
  • 11:50 am: Arrival at the Emssperrwerk (Gandersum)
  • 02:30 pm: Passing the Emssperrwerk
  • 04:30 pm: Passing Emden

 

The successful conveyance of the Asuka III marks an important milestone in the ship’s journey toward final preparation and delivery.
