Princess Cruises has informed passengers of upcoming changes to select Sun Princess Mediterranean itineraries in 2025, which are due to cruise ship congestion in ports.
Princess informed passengers who had booked for a June itinerary that they would stop in Crete instead of Santorini.
The company also informed passengers booked on a July itinerary that the Sun Princess will no longer call on Santorini in July due to congestion.
According to the statement, the ship will alternatively visit Mykonos, Greece, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The company also informed passengers that due to the reduced number of ships that can call the port, the Sun Princess would no longer call in Kotor, Montenegro, on Friday, July 25, 2025. It will instead visit Bar, Montenegro, on that day.
To enhance the guest experience, the ship will now arrive in Corfu at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, rather than 8:00 a.m.
Guests booked for August were informed by Princess that because of congestion in Genoa, Italy, the Sun Princess would not call to Genoa on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025. Instead, she will call in Malaga, Spain on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.
Princess added in the statement that the ship would instead call to Marseille, France on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 rather than Monday, Aug. 4, 2025. Call times were also amended for its visit to Gibraltar on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025.
