Set to undergo a major refurbishment in Europe later this month, the Norwegian Bliss recently started a repositioning cruise to Europe.
After departing from Miami on Jan. 4, 2025, the ship is set to visit destinations in Spain, Portugal and France before arriving at the British port of Southampton.
The 13-night itinerary features visits to four ports of call, including Le Havre, Vigo, Lisbon and Azore’s Ponta Delgada.
After disembarking its passengers in Southampton, the Norwegian Bliss is set to enter drydock in Northern Europe for a two-week refit.
The project includes routine maintenance, technical updates and class work, as well as changes to public areas and features.
Among the upgrades on the hotel side is the creation of a new space, Horizon Park, which is making its fleetwide debut onboard the vessel.
According to Norwegian, the venue will offer outdoor gathering spaces, including lawn games like cornhole and giant Jenga, along with reclining loungers for sunbathing.
The Norwegian Bliss will also see the introduction of Silver Screen Bistro, an immersive cinema and dining venue.
Accommodations in The Haven by Norwegian will be updated, with the introduction of three-bedroom Premiere Owner’s Suites, featuring three-and-a-half baths.
A dining room with views of The Haven Horizon Lounge will be created as well, while living areas are set to be refurbished.
Other changes to the ship include the creation of 26 new balcony rooms, in addition to the expansion of popular specialty dining venues, including Cagney’s and Teppanyaki.
After the drydock, the Norwegian Bliss is set to offer a 13-night repositioning cruise from Southampton to Miami.
Departing from England on Feb. 2, the trans-Atlantic crossing sails to destinations in Portugal, France and Spain before arriving in Florida.
Following a cruise to the Caribbean, the Norwegian Bliss repositions to the West Coast for a series of seven-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera.
The 2018-built ship is then scheduled to kick off a summer deployment in Alaska and Canada in mid-April.
