Natasha Cjallwell

The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC) announced in a press release the appointment of Natasha J. Chalwell as the new deputy director of tourism.

Chalwell brings over two decades of expertise in tourism development, international marketing, and public relations to her new role. She will support the Director in shaping and managing tourism marketing strategies, including creating the Board’s annual Marketing Plan, building industry partnerships, and advancing operational goals.

British Virgin Islands Director of Tourism, Clive McCoy, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Natasha back to the Board. Her wealth of experience and extensive industry knowledge will be invaluable as we work together to shape the future of BVI tourism.”

Chalwell holds a B.Sc. in International Tourism Management with a focus on Marketing and Public Relations, as well as an Associate’s degree in Hotel and Resort Management. Most recently, she served as Director of Marketing at the BVI Ports Authority, where she led a rebranding effort that increased visibility and engagement, contributing to record cruise arrivals in 2023. She also held a key role with the BVI Tourist Board, driving international marketing campaigns and building strategic partnerships.

Chalwell is one of three recent hires aimed at strengthening the BVITBFC’s leadership team. She is joined by Odelcer Hanley as general manager for the UK and Feliza Fenty as international marketing manager.
