Fred. Olsen’s Bolette Sets Sail on First Ever World Cruise

Bolette

The Bolette has embarked on its first-ever world voyage for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines on January 4, 2025.

Sailing roundtrip from Liverpool, the vessel is now offering a 110-night cruise that circumnavigates the globe.

After embarking additional guests in Southampton, the Bolette is now heading to South America for the first segment of the itinerary.

Starting in late January, the ship visits ports of call in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, such as Ilhabela, Buenos Aires and Valparaiso.

The vessel is then set to sail around the Cape Horn and the Chilean fjords before arriving in the South Pacific for destinations in Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand.

This segment of the cruise is highlighted by an overnight visit to Sydney, in addition to a stop in Nukualofa, Tonga.

Continuing its global adventure, the Bolette sails to ports of call in the Indian Ocean and Africa, including Mauritius, Reunion and South Africa with a three-day visit to Cape Town.

Back in the Atlantic, the cruise features stops in Namibia, St. Helena, Senegal, the Canary Islands and Madeira.

The ship is then scheduled to return to Liverpool and Southampton in late April, kicking off a series of spring cruises in Northern Europe.

In May, the Bolette is also set to offer a 17-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean that sails roundtrip from Liverpool.

Sailing to Morocco, Spain, Italy and France, the itinerary features various destinations, such as Tangier, Cartagena, Propiano, Olbia and Sorrento.

Continuing its year-round deployment from Liverpool, the ship offers itineraries to the British Isles, Scandinavia, the French Riviera, the Azores and more.

Acquired by Fred. Olsen in 2020, the Bolette was originally built for Holland America Line as the Amsterdam.

A sister to the 1997-built Rotterdam, the 1,380-guest ship was constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and entered service in 2000.
