Carnival Spirit to Enter Drydock in Europe

Carnival Spirit

The Carnival Spirit will soon cross the Atlantic for a routine drydock in the Mediterranean. After completing a final sailing from Mobile, the 2001-built vessel is set to start its voyage to Europe on Jan. 30, 2025.

The Carnival Cruise Line vessel is then set to arrive at a shipyard to undergo a three-and-a-half-week drydock.

Upon completing the drydock, the Carnival Spirit is scheduled to welcome guests back for a 14-night repositioning cruise on Mar. 16, 2025.

Sailing from Spain to Miami, the trans-Atlantic crossing features visits to destinations in Spain, Portugal and Bermuda. Ports of call set to be visited include Málaga, Cádiz, Ponta Delgada and King’s Wharf.

In late March, the 2,100-guest ship embarks on a Panama Canal cruise ahead of its summer season in Alaska.

The 15-night cruise sails from Miami to Seattle, visiting four destinations in Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico.

As part of its 2025 summer deployment, the Spirit is scheduled to offer a series of seven-night cruises to Alaska and Canada.

The itineraries sail roundtrip from Seattle and feature visits to Ketchikan, Juneau, Victoria and Skagway, as well as scenic cruising at the Tracy Arm Fjord.

In October, the ship returns to Mobile to offer five- to 14-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

As the original vessel in Carnival’s Spirit Class, the Carnival Spirit was built at the Kvaerner Masa-Yards in Finland.

Extensively refurbished over the years, the ship first debuted in 2001 and underwent a major upgrade in 2018.

Following a drydock in Singapore, the Spirit debuted a range of new family-friendly entertainment features, as well as the debut of additional dining venues and bars.
