The Azamara Onward kicked off Azamara’s 2025 World Voyage earlier this month at the port of San Diego.
Now offering a 155-night itinerary that will sail to over 35 countries, the ship departed from Southern California on Jan. 6, 2025.
According to Azamara, the cruise is highlighted by roughly 15 overnights and over 30 late stays in port, giving guests more time to immerse themselves in each destination.
In addition to a gala dinner in San Diego, the world cruise also includes 12 complimentary land events in various destinations.
Among the scheduled land experiences, passengers will be able to attend a display of traditional forms of dance in Indonesia.
The itinerary is also highlighted by a visit to Stewart Island, which is described by Azamara as an off-the-beaten-path destination in New Zealand.
According to the company, less than 500 inhabitants live on the island, which is mostly part of Rakiura National Park and offers coastal rainforests, sand dunes, mountain ranges and native wildlife.
The cruise also marks Azamara’s return to Hawaii with a late stay in Honolulu, as well as visits to Hilo and Nawiliwili.
After leaving from San Diego and visiting Hawaii, the Azamara Onward heads south for destinations in Polynesia, including Tahiti and Bora Bora.
The world cruise continues with ports of call in New Zealand and Australia, such as Dunedin, Napier, Sydney and Melbourne.
The Azamara Onward is then set to explore Southeast Asia, visiting destinations in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and more.
Following a visit to Hong Kong, the ship heads to the Indian Ocean and Africa before arriving in the Canary Islands and Europe.
Before arriving in Southampton to end its world journey, the vessel is also set to explore the Mediterranean and Western Europe, visiting ports of call in Tunisia, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, France, Spain and Portugal.
