Regent’s Seven Seas Grandeur Marks First Year of Service

Seven Seas Grandeur

The Seven Seas Grandeur completed its first year of service for Regent Seven Seas Cruises in late November.

Built by the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the 750-guest vessel was delivered to the ultra-luxury company on Nov. 13, 2023.

After initially offering sailings in the Mediterranean, the ship crossed the Atlantic Ocean ahead of its christening ceremony, which took place in Miami on Dec. 11, 2023.

As part of the celebration, the Seven Seas Grandeur was named by Sarah Fabergé, Founding Member of the Fabergé Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé.

During the gala event, Regent also unveiled Journey in Jewels, the first Fabergé Egg to permanently reside at sea.

Currently on display in the ship’s atrium, the custom-designed piece is one of the highlights of the ship’s 1,600-piece art collection.

After the ceremony, the Seven Seas Grandeur operated a seven-night cruise to the Caribbean before offering a trans-Canal voyage that ended in Los Angeles.

Upon returning to the Caribbean, the 55,000-ton vessel offered additional cruises from PortMiami, with itineraries ranging from seven to 16 nights.

As part of its inaugural season, the ship visited destinations such as Costa Maya, Mexico; Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St Barthelemy; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.

In April, the vessel returned to Europe for a summer deployment that featured a series of cruises in the Mediterranean.

Now back in Miami, the Seven Seas Grandeur is scheduled to spend the upcoming winter season offering cruises to the Caribbean, the Panama Canal and the West Coast before debuting in Northern Europe in 2025.

As part of its inaugural season in the region, the vessel will sail from Portugal, England, Iceland, France and the Netherlands for a series of itineraries to the British Isles, Scandinavia and the North Sea.

In addition to the Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent Seven Seas took delivery of two newbuilds since 2016, the Seven Seas Explorer and the Seven Seas Splendor.
