Deliziosa Kicks Off Costa’s 130-Night World Cruise

The Costa Deliziosa has embarked onCosta Cruises’ 2024-25 World Cruise, sailing from Trieste, Italy. With a new itinerary, the 130-night itinerary is highlighted by visits to nearly 50 destinations.

As one of the longest sailings ever offered by the company, the cruise initially sails to South America after visiting destinations in Europe and the Atlantic.

In December, the Costa Deliziosa visits various ports in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, where it is set to make an overnight call.

In a first for Costa’s world cruises, the vessel is also scheduled to anchor at Copacabana Beach to watch the New Year’s firework display before continuing to Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

The second segment of the itinerary sails to the South Pacific, visiting ports of call in French Polynesia, Fiji, Tonga and more.

After visiting Australia and New Zealand, the Costa Deliziosa arrives in the Indian Ocean for destinations in Mauritius and Madagascar.

Among the destinations scheduled for visits are Papeete, Moorea, Suva, Melbourne, Hobart, Tauranga and Auckland.

Before arriving back in Europe, the itinerary includes several stops in Africa, including ports of call in South Africa, Namibia and Cape Verde, such as Cape Town, Lüderitz and Praia.

The cruise sails to additional destinations in the Canaries and the Mediterranean before ending on April 16, 2025.

In addition to Trieste, passengers will also be able to start the worldwide adventure at the Italian ports of Savona and Civitavecchia, as well as in Barcelona, Spain, and Marseille, France.

After operating a summer deployment in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Costa Deliziosa is set to offer a new world cruise during the 2025-26 season.

With a different itinerary, the 141-night journey starts in November and includes visits to destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, the Pacific, Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa.
