Set to debut in New York for the 2024-25 winter season, the Odyssey of the Seas is currently offering a repositioning cruise to North America.
After completing a summer program in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Royal Caribbean International ship kicked off its trans-Atlantic crossing on Nov. 3, 2024.
Sailing from Civitavecchia, the port for Rome in Italy, the 14-night cruise is scheduled to end in Cape Liberty on Nov. 17, 2024.
The Odyssey then kicks off its first-ever winter season in the Northeast.
Sailing roundtrip from Royal Caribbean’s cruise terminal in Bayonne, the 2021-built ship is scheduled to offer a series of seven- to 12-night cruises to the Caribbean, Florida and the Bahamas.
Most of the itineraries include a visit to the company’s private island destination of Perfect Day at CocoCay, as well as Nassau and Port Canaveral.
In January, the deployment also features 11- and 12-night cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
These longer itineraries are set to visit additional destinations, including Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. John’s, Puerto Rico and St. Kitts.
Replacing the Anthem of the Seas, which is repositioning to Asia after nearly ten years sailing seasonally in the region, the Odyssey continues to sail from Cape Liberty through late April 2025.
During the 2025 summer cruise season, the 4,200-guest ship is poised to return to Europe for another season in the Eastern Mediterranean.
While the Odyssey is only scheduled to return to Bayonne in late 2025, two Royal Caribbean ships will sail from the homeport for the summer: the Liberty of the Seas and the Symphony of the Seas.
Between May and October 2025, the vessels offer various itineraries to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada and New England.
