Norwegian to Deploy Eight Ships in Europe in 2026

Norwegian Cruise Line’s recently announced 2026 deployment plans include eight ships spending the summer in Europe.

Cruise Industry News looks at the highlights of the program, which includes three itineraries in Northern Europe and four in the Mediterranean.

Northern Europe, Iceland and the Baltic Sea

Ships: Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Star
Homeports:
Copenhagen (Denmark); Helsinki (Finland); Le Havre (France); Reykjavik (Iceland); and Southampton (England)
Highlighted Ports of Call:
Hamburg (Germany); Leirvik (Norway); Klaipeda (Lithuania); Portree (Isle of Skye); and Dublin (Ireland)

Three Norwegian Cruise Line ships are scheduled to sail in Northern Europe in 2026, including the Norwegian Sky.

For its second European season, the 1999-built vessel is set to offer a series of seven-day sailings from Le Havre and Copenhagen, featuring an overnight in Hamburg and visits to Belgium, the UK and the Netherlands, followed by ten- and 11-day cruises to the British Isles.

The Norwegian Sun is also returning to Europe for a summer program in the Baltic Sea that includes seven- to ten-night cruises to ports in Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden.

The Star will offer ten- and 11-day voyages to Iceland and Scandinavia, with select sailings visiting Leirvik, Norway, plus overnight stay in Reykjavik.

Mediterranean, Greek Islands and Adriatic Sea

Ships: Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Gem and Norwegian Pearl
Homeports:
Lisbon (Portugal); Barcelona (Spain); Civitavecchia and Ravenna (Italy); Piraeus (Greece); and more
Highlighted Ports of Call:
Palamós and Ibiza (Spain); Istanbul (Turkey); Santorini and Mykonos (Greece); Dubrovnik (Croatia); Salerno and Messina (Italy)

Norwegian Cruise Line is also deploying five vessels in the Mediterranean in 2026.

The Norwegian Viva is offering nine- and ten-day Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises that feature overnight stays in Istanbul on select itineraries.

Sailing between Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia), the Norwegian Epic returns to Europe for a series of open-jaw cruises in the Western Mediterranean that include visits to destinations in France and Italy.

The Norwegian Dawn will also sail in the Western Mediterranean, featuring port-intensive cruises between Barcelona and Lisbon with no sea days, featuring late departures from Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza.

Two ships, the Norwegian Gem and the Norwegian Pearl, are set to spend the summer in the Eastern Mediterranean, with itineraries to the Greek Isles and the Adriatic Sea.
