BC Group Appoints Thomas Martin Area Manager for Canary Islands

New Hire at BC Tours

BC Group announced the appointment of Thomas Martin as area manager for the Canary Islands, based at the company’s offices in Gran Canaria.

In his new role, Martin will oversee daily operations and business development for BC Group in the Canary Islands. Reporting to Mark Robinson, general manager of BC Group within the Alsa Group Tourism Division, Thomas brings over 25 years of experience in the DMC, hotel and contracting industries. He previously served as Regional Director for Meeting Point (part of the FTI Group) in the Canary Islands and Mexico, where he managed office openings and operations.

“As we continue to grow, looking at new opportunities and expanding our operations into new destinations and countries, Martin with all his experience and knowledge of the DMC and tour operating business in the Canary Islands will be a key asset to help BC Group drive continued growth across the Canary Islands. He will assist me in developing our strategy for future growth and ensure we consolidate our position as a leading player in the cruise handling business across Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands and will work closely with our colleagues from the Alsa Group to oversee the development of the cruise industry in the various ports. I’m delighted that Thomas has joined the group,” said Robinson.

Martin added: “I am very happy to be joining the BC Group during this exciting period of its growth and looking forward to working closely with Mark and colleagues developing new business opportunities and delivering a first-class service to the cruise lines, their guests and crew. I’m looking forward to driving the business forward and continuing to develop, build teams and maintain the best relationships with our cruise line partners, port authorities and suppliers in the various ports and destinations where we operate in the Canary Islands. I’m very much looking forward to meeting all the cruise line executives, suppliers, authorities and of my colleagues at Seatrade in Malaga next week”
