Windstar Cruises has unveiled the Star Seeker, a new 224-guest ship set to debut in January 2026.
Currently under construction in Portugal, the vessel will feature 112 suites, with the majority offering either a private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity window. The Star Seeker will include five dining options, a spa, a fitness center and a revamped Watersports Platform that allows guests direct access to the ocean, creating an infinity pool effect, the company said in a press release.
“Guests aboard Star Seeker will experience a sense of tranquility in their suites; they are designed to be an oasis for relaxation,” said Stijn Creupelandt, vice president of hotel operations at Windstar Cruises.
“We used light wood and a soothing color palette of light blues, greens, and natural browns – elements that reflect our Star Class style. Inspired by the sea, sky, and landscapes, these colors and textures create a serene atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. In the ship’s public spaces and restaurants, you’ll find more vibrant hues inspired by sunrises and sunsets, including warm yellows, golds, and oranges, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort throughout the ship.”
The Seeker introduces a new suite category for Windstar Cruises with two Horizon Owner’s Suites located at the aft of the ship on deck 7. The suites can be combined with adjacent rooms for larger groups.
In addition, the ship also offers a variety of 12 suite types, many accommodating triple occupancy. Among these, 72 suites feature large verandas and 30 new infinity suites include floor-to-ceiling windows that open halfway for a fresh sea breeze.
The ship’s 10 Oceanview suites include walk-in mosaic glass showers and convertible queen beds. All suites are equipped with a fully stocked minibar, interactive TV, safe and additional amenities, the company said. The highest suite categories—Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe—come with added perks like an Illy espresso machine, Canapes service and fresh flowers.
The Star Seeker will embark on its maiden voyage in early January 2026, with a Transatlantic sailing from Malaga to Miami. Following a christening event in Miami, the ship will debut in the Caribbean before moving to the U.S. West Coast for a full season of Alaska cruises. The ship will then sail to Japan before continuing to Southeast Asia. Details will first be shared with Yacht Club members and travel advisors in early September before becoming available to the public, the company added.
Windstar will debut another sister ship, the Star Explorer, in December of 2026.
