Virgin Voyages is launching its inaugural Eclipse Voyages as part of its new series of cruises: Marvelous Voyages, according to a press release.
Scheduled for August 2026, the Eclipse Voyages offer guests a chance to cruise along the path of totality.
The 12- and 15-night itineraries include stops in Dublin, Glasgow and Reykjavik onboard the Valiant Lady, as well as the Amalfi Coast, Mallorca, and Cannes on the Scarlet Lady. The journey will also feature special onboard events and guest appearances.
Michelle Bentubo, chief operating officer at Virgin Voyages, said: “We already sail to more than 100 international ports, but our itineraries are ever-evolving based on what our Sailors and travel partners are asking for. We’ve graduated from only offering short Caribbean escapes and weekender voyages to give our Sailors longer itinerary options of up to 14 nights at more ports around the world. Our Marvelous Voyages, paired with Brilliant Lady’s epic itineraries across all four corners of the US, just shows the growth and strength of this monumental brand and the choice we are committed to offering.”
Renowned space explorers and scientists will share their insights on the cosmos while the ship’s upper decks will be transformed into observation areas with telescopes and binoculars, with astronomers on hand for guidance. The special programming includes new moon ceremonies, celestial-themed entertainment and unique culinary experiences, such as Milky Way milkshakes. Guests will also receive solar eclipse glasses and a commemorative guide.
Beyond the Eclipse Voyages, Virgin Voyages’ new Marvelous Voyages collection includes six additional sailings from March to August 2026, ranging from eight to 16 nights. The itineraries span destinations from Iceland to Istanbul and the British Isles to the Baltics, featuring 12 new ports, including Salerno, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Hamburg, Oslo, Tangier and Greenland.
