Oceania Cruises is changing the itinerary of a trans-Atlantic crossing scheduled to sail onboard the Sirena on April 22, 2025.

According to a letter sent to booked guests, the repositioning cruise will not only visit different ports of call but will also depart from another port.

“As a result of scheduling changes, your April 22, 2025 voyage will now depart from Miami,” the company said.

Set to end in Barcelona, Spain, the 14-night cruise was initially scheduled to depart from San Juan in Puerto Rico.

“The revised transoceanic journey includes visits to the British Islands territory of Bermuda, known for its pink-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and rich heritage, as well as the Azores, an archipelago in the mid-Atlantic,” Oceania said in the statement.

The visits to the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda and Ponta Delgada in the Azores replace previously scheduled stops in Gustavia, St. Barts, and St. John’s, Antigua.

The updated itinerary also includes an extra day at sea while dropping a planned visit to Tangier in Morocco. Scheduled visits to Alicante and Motril, Spain, as well as Funchal, Portugal, are still set to go ahead.

As an “appreciation” gesture for the change, Oceania Cruises is offering a $200 shipboard credit per suite or stateroom, the statement added.

The amount will be automatically credited to the guests’ onboard accounts and can be used toward different services and products.

Passengers who booked their air transportation with Oceania will be automatically reaccommodated on flights to Miami for embarkation.

“If you made independent air arrangements, Oceania Cruises will reimburse up to $300 per guest for airfare change fees and/or fare differentials,” the company explained.

These guests are asked to send receipts of official airline documentation showing the charges and payment, Oceania added.

According to the statement, pre-booked excursions for the eliminated ports will be fully refunded to their original method of payment.
