Norwegian Cancels Pride of America Sailings for Drydock in 2025

Pride of America

Norwegian Cruise Line is canceling four cruises onboard the Pride of America to make room for routine maintenance.

According to a statement sent to booked guests, the affected sailings were previously scheduled to sail between May 3 and May 24, 2025.

“As part of our commitment to continuously offer extraordinary vacation experiences around the world for our guests, and to uphold a consistent world-class product across our fleet, the Pride of America will be undergoing routine maintenance in May 2025,” Norwegian said in its statement.

The four sailings had to be canceled to complete these updates, the company added, while apologizing for the inconvenience.

Sailing roundtrip from Honolulu, the Pride of America was scheduled to offer seven-night inter-island cruises in Hawaii during the period.

According to the statement, guests will receive a full monetary refund of the fare paid, which will automatically be issued to the form of payment provided at the time of the reservation.

Passengers who have paid their reservations with a previously issued Future Cruise Credit (FCC), will have 100 percent of the amount re-applied to their Latitudes account as a new FCC.

“As a company, we are committed to providing exceptional vacation experiences, both onboard our ships and at the many destinations we cruise worldwide,” Norwegian added.

As a token of appreciation, Norwegian is also offering affected guests a 20 percent discount in the form of an FCC for a future voyage.

This credit may be used and applied towards selected published sailings onboard the Pride of America between April 5, 2025 and June 21, 2025.

All guests will also receive a ten percent discount in the form of an FCC for a future voyage which can be applied towards any sailing scheduled through December 31, 2025.

The new credits will be available from September 4, 2024 and are not combinable, the company explained.
