Holland America Line Opens Bookings for 2026 Europe Season

Nieuw Statendam

Holland America Line has opened bookings for its 2026 Europe season, featuring four ships sailing in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canary Islands and transatlantic cruises, according to a press release.

Guests can choose from itineraries ranging from seven to 42 days, with some featuring new ports of call for 2026.

“There’s so much to see throughout the Mediterranean region and by creating itineraries from multiple homeports we’re giving our guests the opportunity to explore more ports and countries in an exciting way we haven’t offered before. The range of options we’ve put together really allows travelers to choose their own, ideal Mediterranean adventure,” said Paul Grigsby, Holland America Line’s vice president of revenue planning and deployment.

“Further, we made sure to listen to guest feedback when crafting these itineraries: We’ve included some of our most requested calls, including Sicily and Portofino — two of 11 ports of call in Italy. And for the first time in over 15 years, we’re returning to St. Tropez, France.”

The Oosterdam will operate Mediterranean sailings ranging from seven to 14 days departing from five homeports: Lisbon, Portugal; Piraeus (Athens), Greece; Barcelona, Spain; and Civitavecchia (Rome) and Trieste (Venice), Italy. For a more in-depth exploration, guests can combine these itineraries. The ship offers 28 Collectors’ Voyages ranging from 14 to 27 days, allowing up to 21 days of sailing without repeating ports.

The Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam will explore Northern Europe, homeporting in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Additionally, the Nieuw Statendam will return to Dover, England, in 2026, providing alternate roundtrip itineraries from the U.K. on select sailings.

For 2026 in Northern Europe Holland America Line will also introduce four new ports, including Aberdeen, Scotland; Kalundborg, Denmark; and Odda, Norway, aboard the Rotterdam; and Portsmouth, England, aboard the Nieuw Statendam.

“We’re excited to see both Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam returning to homeport in our historic home. Aboard the two ships, guests can experience over 80 ports across 20 countries, as far west as the Canary Islands in Spain, and as far east as Finland and the Baltic States,” said Beth Bodensteiner, Holland America Line’s chief commercial officer. “And for guests seeking a longer visit to see sites like Dover Castle, the famous White Cliffs or London, they can choose to embark in Dover on a dozen of Nieuw Statendam’s itineraries.”
