Disney Destiny to Feature Marvel-Inspired Experiences

Disney Destiny Stern

Disney Cruise Line’s Destiny, set to launch in 2025, will feature Marvel-inspired spaces and experiences, according to a press release.

A range of Marvel characters will inspire themed venues and entertainment on the ship. Highlights include a Grand Hall inspired by “Black Panther,” an entertainment parlor themed around “Doctor Strange,” and a tower suite honoring Iron Man.

“The heroes and villains theme of the Disney Destiny provides the perfect platform for us to collaborate with Disney Cruise Line on all-new, Marvel-inspired experiences guests won’t find anywhere else on land or at sea across the multiverse,” said Brian Crosby, executive, Marvel Experiences Development. “We’re honoring some of our classic heroes like Black Panther and Spider-Man on board, and we’re celebrating the larger-than-life personalities of the Avengers as inspiration for one-of-a-kind venues. This will be a must-do for all True Believers!”

The Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny, inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films, will be a gathering space designed with insights from the movie’s costume team. It features metalwork resembling Wakandan armor, a Vibranium-inspired light fixture and a statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther.

The Grand Hall will transform into a living theater, offering immersive shows and interactive programs where Disney and Marvel heroes and villains interact with guests.

The Saga, adjacent to the Grand Hall, will offer daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. Inspired by Wakandan architecture, this two-story venue will host interactive shows and events.

The Sanctum, inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange,” will offer an array of cocktails, spirits and coffees, and host various activities throughout the voyage.

Tower Suite

A Marvel Super Hero will feature as the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny, showcasing Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots on the ship’s stern.

The Destiny Tower Suite, inspired by Iron Man, spanning nearly 2,000 square feet, will accommodate eight guests and include designated areas for dining, sleeping and playing, along with a full kitchen and private elevator.

Guests in the Destiny Tower Suite and all concierge-level accommodations will receive premium service and access to exclusive areas and amenities, including the Concierge Lounge and private sun deck. The lounge will feature art celebrating the Avengers, inspired by their Manhattan home base.

The Disney Destiny will also feature two popular experiences from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, inspired by Marvel Universe stories and characters.

Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host guests for a celebration starring Rocket and Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. During a tribute to Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes, Groot will organize a surprise party for Rocket as guests enjoy Marvel-themed trivia and activities for the whole family.

The youngest guests can embark on their own adventures at Marvel Super Hero Academy, where they will train to become the next generation of Super Heroes.
