Carnival Cruise Line unveiled its 2026-27 deployment plans, featuring new summer 2026 itineraries to European and Alaskan destinations, including a unique solar eclipse cruise.
Reservations for the 2026-27 voyages open Tuesday, August 20, according to a press release.
For the first time, Carnival will offer an 11-day Carnival Journeys Eclipse cruise aboard the Carnival Legend, departing from Dover, England, on August 9, 2026. The cruise includes stops in Spain, Portugal and France, and will provide guests with a prime viewing opportunity for the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. Ports of call include Le Havre (Paris), St. Peter Port (Guernsey), Vigo (Spain), Lisbon and Leixões (Porto), Le Verdon (Bordeaux) and Zeebrugge (Brussels).
“The chance to see a total solar eclipse while having fun exploring the cultural richness of Spain, Portugal and France aboard Carnival Legend, is a truly special opportunity – among a lineup of many phenomenal cruises,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “And as the popularity of Carnival Legend’s 2024 Europe sailings prove, it’s never too soon for our loyal guests to start planning their next summer vacation.”
The Carnival Legend will kick off its summer 2026 European season with a 14-day transatlantic voyage from Miami on May 24, 2026, visiting Liverpool, Holyhead and Dun Laoghaire before arriving in Dover. While based in Europe, the ship will offer nine cruises from Dover, ranging from nine to 12 days and six cruises of nine or 12 days from Civitavecchia.
From Dover, sailings will explore Northern Europe, including Copenhagen, Amsterdam and various British Isles ports, with a special cruise to Iceland. Scandinavia and Baltic itineraries will visit Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium, while Western Europe cruises cover Portugal, Spain, and France.
From Civitavecchia, nine-day and 12-day sailings will feature Italy, the Greek Isles, Turkey and Croatia. Notable ports include Istanbul, Athens, Mykonos, Naples, Split and Dubrovnik. The season will conclude with a 14-day Carnival Journeys voyage from Civitavecchia to Tampa on November 1, 2026, stopping in Cartagena, Malaga, Gibraltar and Bermuda.
In summer 2026, the Miracle will join the Spirit in sailing from Seattle to Alaska, with current itineraries available for Seattle departures only. Alaska cruises from San Francisco will be announced this fall, the company said.
The Miracle will begin weekly seven-day Alaska sailings from Seattle on May 7, 2026, visiting Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria. It will also offer two Carnival Journeys cruises: a nine-day voyage to Sitka and a ten-day voyage including Icy Strait Point.
Carnival Spirit’s Alaska sailings start April 28, 2026, and will include similar ports. From September 23, 2026, it will offer a 15-day round-trip cruise to Hawaii, stopping in Honolulu, Nawiliwili, Kahului, Hilo and Victoria.
Additionally, four Carnival Journeys cruises will reposition the Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit via the Panama Canal. These 16-day cruises will connect Seattle and Mobile, Ala., and include stops in Cabo San Lucas, Puntarenas and Cartagena. The Miracle will reposition from Tampa on April 11, 2026, and return to Galveston from Seattle on September 26, 2026.
