In a statement sent to booked guests, Carnival Cruise Line announced changes to the 2025-26 itineraries of the Carnival Spirit.
According to the company, the vessel is dropping several scheduled visits to the port of Bimini in the Bahamas.
Ten sailings had their itineraries changed to remove the call, including those set to depart on Nov. 8, Nov. 22, Dec. 6, Dec. 20 and Dec. 28, 2025.
In 2026, the cruises scheduled to depart on Jan. 31, Feb. 14, Feb. 28, Mar. 14 and Mar. 28 were also amended.
While its planned visits to Bimini are no longer going ahead, the eight-night itineraries continue to include stops in Nassau, Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. Sailing from Mobile, the cruises also feature three days at sea in the Caribbean.
In its statement, Carnival Cruise Line said that shore excursions for the canceled ports of call will be automatically refunded to their original form of payment.
Repositioning from Alaska, the Carnival Spirit is set to spend the 2025-26 winter cruising out of Mobile, Alabama.
The 2,100-guest vessel will offer a series of six- to eight-night cruises to the Bahamas, in addition to a sole five-night cruise to the Western Caribbean in October.
Sailing soon after completing a repositioning cruise via the Panama Canal, the five-night itinerary includes two destinations in Mexico: Puerto Progreso and Cozumel.
The ship’s 2025-26 schedule is also highlighted by a unique Carnival Journey. Sailing in January, the 14-night itinerary sails to the Southern Caribbean with planned visits to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Aruba, Curaçao and Jamaica.
While no longer part of eight-night itineraries, visits to Bimini are still confirmed for the Spirit’s six-night cruises, which also sail to Celebration Key or Nassau.
