MSC Bellissima Named ‘Asia’s Best Cruise Ship’

Bellissima in Taiwan

MSC Cruises’ Bellissima has been named “Asia’s Best Cruise Ship” at the Asia Cruise Forum held in Jeju, South Korea, according to a press release.

The MSC Bellissima resumed international sailings in April 2023 in Japan, with routes to China and South Korea. The Asia Cruise Forum awarded the accolade after reviewing customer service and operational performance of cruise vessels in Asia. The judges also recognized contributions to the cruise industry’s resurgence in Asia post-pandemic.

Oliviero Morelli, president of MSC Cruises Japan and Korea, accepted the award from Mr Do-Hyung Kang, South Korea’s Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, at a gala ceremony hosted by Jeju Tourism.

Morelli said: “Receiving the title of ‘Asia’s Best Cruise Ship’ at the Asia Cruise Forum is a tremendous honor for MSC Cruises. This recognition strengthens our presence in the local market and underscores our commitment to deliver unparalleled cruise experiences throughout Asia.”

The MSC Bellissima was also recognized as “Cruise Ship of the Year” in late 2023 by the Japan Oceangoing Passenger Ship Association.

The 5,655-passenger ship was also featured in Netflix TV’s Japanese film “In Love and Deep Water.”
