Marella Cruises launched its winter 2025 itineraries, with two new ports of call: Isla Catalina, Dominican Republic and Ponce, Puerto Rico, according to a press release.
The winter itineraries, starting on December 16, 2025, go on sale from July 18, 2024. The “Tropical Isles” itinerary will start from La Romana, Dominican Republic and include stops in San Jean, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, US Virgin Islands, Fredriksted, US Virgin Islands, Ponce, Puerto Rico and Isla Catalina before returning to La Romana.
Chris Hackney, managing director of Marella Cruises said: “We’re excited to be announcing our winter 2025 program, with our more remote island ports of call in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, allowing our guests to discover more. By expanding our overnight onboard stay offering in the Curacao and Canary Islands and cruise and stay options in the Caribbean and Canary Islands, it will give guests a chance to explore the sights, with a chance to stay at our TUI hotels pre or post-cruise.”
Additionally, from January 8, 2026, the Marella Discovery 2 will sail the ‘Exotic Islands’ itinerary, visiting Barbados, St. Lucia, Aruba, Curacao, and Grenada, with new overnight stays in Willemstad, Curacao, and cruise and stay options in Barbados. The ‘Island Explorer’ itinerary, starting on November 28, 2025, will feature sailings from Tenerife and Gran Canaria, visiting various Canary Islands and Madeira, with an overnight stay in Funchal, Madeira.
Guests can sail into 2026 with Marella Cruises’ New Year’s sailings on the Voyager. The festive voyage visits Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Madeira and Gran Canaria, with a cruise and stay offer in Tenerife and Gran Canaria available.
